This is a patter for a bead crocheted necklace that’s comprised of only two colors, but features a single loading sequences within the pattern. The black and silver tend to make it wearable any time of day or night. However, you can always change the colors to make it more of a colorful necklace suitable for days, or use metallics for evening wear.

The sample is finished with a manufactured findings, but the pattern includes instructions for alternative finishing techniques, including beaded bead caps, which are made using an off loom beading stitch. The necklace itself is made using the slip stitch method of bead crochet, and is made exclusively with size #11 Japanese seed beads. It is crocheted 14-around.

The pattern includes (1) instructions for this necklace, (2) a mini tutorial on how to do bead crochet (3) how to change yarn so that you can fix a loading mistake or adjust the length (4) instructions for the invisible join if you want a continuous necklace and (5) how to make beaded bead caps, so if you want a clasp, you’ll have bead caps that match the necklace.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a good working knowledge of the slip stitch method of bead crochet)

I self tested this piece.
