I own a business in the finance field and have a Masters Degree (MBA). I’m recently widowed and mother to our 6 kids ages 14, 14, 14, 16, 25, and 30.

I grew up in Denmark, was an exchange student in Savannah, Georgia, loved the US so much that I immigrated at age 18. I waved goodbye to my family and set out for the US with two suitcases and a hard earned $1000 (scrubbing toilets) and have never regretted it. I earned my green card by serving with honor in the United States Marine Corps. A knitting Marine raised many eye-brows over the years.

After designing for myself since grade school, I published my first pattern in November 2010 in Interweave Knits, followed by 8 more designs in Interweave magazines. Now I have branched out to other magazines and books and am self-publishing here on Ravelry too.
