I learned to knit by watching my Mum, I do not know how young I was, but I do know I finished my first garment when I was 8, and it was a fair isle waistcoat that I designed to use up her odds & ends.

Recently, I wondered what happened to that girl that didn’t have to follow a pattern, but grabbed a colour or her Mother’s swatch, and just made something with whatever she had on hand?

If I keep playing around with yarn and designs maybe I’ll find her again.
