My name is Niamh Colfer and I am a Crochet Crafter and Designer. I am based on the Hook Peninsula in Ireland and I have set up a craft business called ‘Hook Crochet’.
For me, crochet has been a huge part of my family history for generations. My grandmother Eileen O’Leary (picture attached in her crochet lace wedding dress in 1959), a noted needle worker taught me to crochet from the age of seven and I’ve has truly been “hooked” since. I now crochet freestyle and create my own patterns, mostly fine crochet jewellery, formal bags, purses, lace gloves, headpieces and other accessories.
