Jane Crowfoot
I trained as a constructed textile designer and have worked within the hand knitting craft industry for the last 25 years. I draw much of my inspiration from my love of art, textiles and travel and specialise in crochet designs for the home interior.
My goal is to produce crochet projects that are ground-breaking in design and technique – that push the boundaries of the craft ¬– but are also within the reach financially and technically of the world’s crocheters to reproduce at home.
I’m also a proud patron of the UK Knitting & Crochet Guild.
I focus much of my design work on creating imaginative and motivational Crochet Along (CAL) projects, which give the home crafter the chance to distance-learn many crochet techniques by working through designs in bite size instalments.
I work alongside UK yarn producers, distributors and printers to source superior and trustworthy kit components at affordable prices, so that crocheters from all walks of life can share in my design.
I believe in the importance of teaching skills and passing on my knowledge, so I also tutor workshops, give demonstrations and inspirational talks and exhibit my work as frequently as possible.
You can see all my work over on my website www.janiecrow.co.uk and follow my blog at www.janiecrow.co.uk/blog. In my webstore you can find a wide range of project kits, accessories and books.
I send out a fortnightly email newsletter, bringing you updates from the world of Janie Crow. You can subscribe to this from my website homepage.
