Living in North Wales since 2004, I love to knit, sew, make bobbin lace and embroider and spin. When designing I particularly like to focus on lace, cables and Fair Isle and other colour-work techniques, having developed these skills through a City and Guilds qualification in Hand Knit Design which I completed in 2013.

I thoroughly believe in the therapeutic benefits of knitting and am rarely seen without needles in hand. I taught music full-time for 21 years until 2018 when I realised I needed to change the pace and decided to follow my dream of working with yarn full-time and I now design and teach knitting workshops. I love reading both Tudor and science-fiction, exploring ever more of the amazing Welsh countryside with my wife and experimenting with vegan cookery.

I have been publishing my designs, both in the UK and US, since 2012 and launched my website in September 2020 where I sell my patterns, kits and wooden treats like stitch marker pots decorated by hand with pyrography.
