Calon Cariad
The pattern is still available from from Yarn O’clock in Mold. You can now also download the pattern here on Ravelry!
Calon Cariad is a bottom up shawl with a deep lace border and a single heart motif near the top of the centre back. It has short row shaping to add depth to the shawl and is fully written with charts provided as well.
You can follow this shawl pattern either with the written instructions only or by using the charts for the lace sections. Please note that there are some rows (including all the short row shaping) not included in the charts, so please read the pattern in full before beginning.
My pink sample used 640m of Erika Knight Wool Local (about 1.5 x 100g skeins).
My blue sample used 570m of John Arbon Textiles Alpaca 2-3ply (most of 1 x 100g/600m skein). If your gauge is looser you are likely to need another skein.
