Hi, I’m Katie Canavan, a textile artist who lives & works in Los Angeles. After watching my mom make quilts, I took a quilting class at age 8. The year was 1992 and I haven’t stopped sewing since. I went to Michigan State University to study Acting & Costume Design, and I taught all my friends and roommates how to knit. I love to take something old - whether a bookcase or a vintage sheet - and give it new life. I’m inspired by nature & the nostalgic and I’m completely obsessed with color.
