Hello and welcome to Stocking & Stem, formerly The K4 Project.

I’m Lisa Roberts, a knitwear designer, pattern creator, and lifelong maker. My knitting journey began at the age of nine when a group of local senior citizens volunteered to teach knitting and crochet at my elementary school in Connecticut. What started as a childhood hobby quickly became a lifelong passion for creating beautiful things by hand.

Over the years, that passion grew into Knitty Kitty, my knitwear brand, which began with a pair of knitting needles, a few skeins of yarn, and a dream. My designs eventually sold around the world and were carried by retailers including Urban Outfitters and Free People. I also worked closely with artisans in Bali, Indonesia, developing knitwear collections and handmade products.

Today, through Stocking & Stem, I create knit and crochet patterns inspired by flowers, Christmas stockings, holiday traditions, and the joy of creating something meaningful by hand. My hope is that every pattern brings creativity, inspiration, and satisfaction -whether you’re making something for yourself or creating a handmade gift for someone special.
