It all started with origami when I was five. I know you’re wondering how it could have started with paper, when everything here is about yarn and fiber. But really, it all started with my grandmother. She’s the one who taught me origami. But that was just the beginning. From then on, I was hooked to anything and everything crafting I could learn.

But more than just teaching me how to do crafts, she taught me how to teach myself. How to be patient, how to solve puzzles, how to look at life and enjoy every moment. She taught me how to be the person I am.

There aren’t too many crafts left that I haven’t tried, and the ones I haven’t are just because I haven’t gotten to them yet. I learned how to tat when I was nine (from my grandmother, of course!). I taught myself how to crochet shortly after, and knitting followed closely. I enjoy all sorts of paper crafts still, and if it involves glue I am in! Knitting, sewing, and tatting remain my big three passions in the crafting world, but I’m always open for a new adventure.

I love making designs that are both functional and beautiful, with a dash of whimsy. Because life is better with a hint of magic.
