One of the students in my weekly knitting class, Cathy S, came up with the idea of a bright green Brat Hat (thanks Charli XCX) with , la embroidered on it. A nice accessory for the supporters of Kamala Harris for President to wear leading up to the 2024 election.

I charted the , la for her to duplicate stitch onto her hat; this graph can be used for duplicate stitching onto any hat, scarf, fingerless glove or other accessory that is knit at 5 sts = 1” in stockinette stitch.

I also designed this FREE hat pattern for you. I was able to find this Brat green yarn at Close Knit Yarn Store in Portland!! The duplicate stitch is very visible on this design-- it is on the brim, front and center, rather than higher on the body of the hat.
