Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Fall 2008: “Few designers are as adept at imbuing intarsia with mood and meaning as Kaffe Fassett. For his drop-shouldered, ribbed-edge Circles cardigan, he turned toward the East: ‘One of the strongest design influences in my life is the Oriental world,’ he says. ‘When I knitted my new self-striping ‘Colourscape Chunky’ into circles, I was struck by the resemblance to setting suns in Japanese prints.’ The circles are set against a solid claret background of ‘Scottish Tweed Aran,’ both by Rowan/Westminster Fibers.”

“Loose-fitting, zipped cardigan with lantern motif.”
