The fronts and back of newton’s long cardigan vest are worked separately in a vertical wavy rib pattern perpendicular to the three-color stripe sequence provided by Ancient Arts Fibre Crafts’ Revival Worsted. The ribbing at the lower edge is picked up and worked down in finishing; the front ribbing (with four buttonholes) is knitted and sewn on.

Colors used are plaid, french bordeaux, moonrise, and cozy.
