Drysdale employs ribbing’s sculptural qualities in her open-front cardigan, delineating the front edges with wide fields of k2, p2 ribbing. At the yoke, increases worked at the front bands’ outer edges form the shawl collar. Along with a wide band of k2, p2 ribbing that pulls in the waist, side seams and set-in sleeve caps create a structured, tailored fit. It’s sleek in merino/silk Venezia Worsted from Cascade Yarns.

This cardigan was designed to be standard-fitting.
