From the photo description: “The textiles markets of Bombay and Bangladesh are the inspiration behind Teva Durham’s tasseled and embroidered pullover. Diamonds are worked in garter stitch and edged in whip-stitch, the squares are knit separately then applique’ed. Knitted tabs and shimmery shisha mirrors provide the finishing touch.”

Materials:

  • 7 (7, 8, 9) 1 3/4oz/50 g balls (each approx 132 yd/120 m) of Stahl Wolle/Tahki Imports ‘Hawaii’ (cotton) in #1274 beige (MC)
  • 2 (2,2,3) balls in #1264 burgundy (A) and #1222 copper (B)
  • 1 ball each #1263 red (C), #1268 green (D), and #1271 pumpkin (E)
  • One pair each size 4 and 5 (3.5 and 3.75 mm) needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GUAGE
  • Tapestry needle
  • 2 dozen 18 mm round “shisha” mirrors
