Hatta reveals the softer side of pre-fall’s Savile Row–inspired trend, using two yarns from Dale Garn—velvety Alpakka and fluffy silk/mohair Erle—to knit her impeccably proportioned vest. The mix of textures blurs the bands of Fair Isle patterning, an effect that pairs beautifully with the gentle gray and rose palette. Knit in Alpakka, k2, p2 ribbed borders offer textural contrast at the hem, armholes and deep V neck.

This is a standard-fitting Fair Isle vest with V-neck and ribbed edges.

Yarn:

3 (3, 4, 4, 5) of one color of Dale Garn Alpakka
2 skeins of one color of Dale Garn Alpakka
1 skein each of four colors of Dale Garn Alpakka
1 skein each two colors of Dale Garn Erle
