Pattern description:
This vintage King Cole pattern has instructions for a boys jacket, cap and mittens, knitted in King Cole DK or chunky yarn.

Gauge:
12 stitches and 16 rows to 5cm (2 inches), over stocking stitch using 4mm knitting needles, or the size required to give the correct tension.

Sizing Information:
To fit chest sizes:
(Size 1: 20”), (Size 2: 22”), (Size 3: 24”), (Size 4: 26”), (Size 5: 28”), (Size 6: 30).

Materials needed
You will need a stitch holder and a cable needle.

Jacket DK:
(Size 1: 1 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast) + 6 buttons,
(Size 2: 1 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast) + 6 buttons,
(Size 3: 2 ball main shade, 2 ball contrast) + 6 buttons,
(Size 4: 2 ball main shade, 2 ball contrast) + 7 buttons,
(Size 5: 2 ball main shade, 2 ball contrast) + 7 buttons,
(Size 6: 2 ball main shade, 2 ball contrast) + 7 buttons.

Jacket CHUNKY:
(Size 1: 2 ball main shade, 2 ball contrast),
(Size 2: 3 ball main shade, 3 ball contrast),
(Size 3: 3 ball main shade, 3 ball contrast),
(Size 4: 3 ball main shade, 3 ball contrast),
(Size 5: 4 ball main shade, 4 ball contrast),
(Size 6: 4 ball main shade, 4 ball contrast).

For the cap and mittens, knitted in DK yarn, you can use leftover yarn from the DK jacket, or 1 ball of each colour. If knitting using the chunky yarn option, you will require 1 ball of each yarn independently to other projects.
