Pattern description from Knit Simple, Fall 2006: “Stripes get tall, not wide, in this garter-ridge top, worked vertically from side to side and sewn at the center, leaving a V-neck opening.”
Knit Tip: “Once the main piece is ready to wear, pick up stitches at the hem for the deep hip ribbing.”
Materials:
- La Luz by Fiesta Yarns, 2oz/57g balls, each approx 220yd/201m (silk)
- 3 (3, 4, 4, 5) balls in #LL18 wild iris (A)
- La Boheme by Fiesta Yarns, 4oz/113g balls, each approx 165yd/151m (mohair/rayon/nylon)
- 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) balls in jamaican spice (B)
- Size 9 (5.5mm) circular needle, 24”/60cm long or size to obtain gauge
- Size H/8 (5mm) crochet hook and stitch marker.
Measurements:
- X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large)
- Bust 32 (34, 37, 40, 44)“/81 (86.5, 94, 101.5, 111.5) cm
- Length 24 (24½, 25, 25½, 26)“/61 (62, 63.5, 64.5, 66) cm
Notes:
- Front and back of each side are worked in one piece from side seam to center seam.
- use 2 strands of A held tog when working bottom band.
- Circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of sts.
