A textured yarn adds interest to this colorful stockinette blanket. Seven strips of different widths are knit in a series of colorblocks. When they’re seamed with mattress stitch, the pink panels blend together to create the graphic “woven” look. Wide garter-stitch borders are knit into the bottom, top and side edges.

TIP: An extra-large, blunt tapestry needle makes chunky yarns easier to seam.
