#13 Classic Baby Cardigans
Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2007: “’I love pared-down styles for babies and wanted the couture element to be in the details, with fully fashioned shaping breaking up the solid stockinette fabric. The slight A-line shape is not only a style detail but also practical, as it goes over nappies. I love the combination of chocolate brown with dusky pastels. The simple collar gives it a vintage feel. The jackets are knitted in my Baby Cashmerino which not only is soft and gentle against a baby’s skin but washes beautifully as well.’ The color-tipped Peter Pan collar and classic styling of these unisex cardigans are Bliss signatures. Knit in ‘Baby Cashmerino’ by Debbie Bliss/KFI, the pieces are joined at the underarm and worked as a yoke in full-fashioned raglan shaping.”
“Baby cardigans with slight side shaping, color trimmed collar and knit-in-one raglan yoke. Sized for newborn, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months. Shown in size 6 months on page 73.”
