Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2009: “Laura Bryant’s summer scarf, in Prism Arts’ ‘Saki,’ is lighter than air in a dropped-stitch reversible basketweave. The multidirectional scheme relies on ladders created by dropped stitches, as well as on rows worked with extra wraps that are dropped on the way back.”

“Open work scarf using two dropped stitch techniques.”

Materials:

  • 1 3½oz/100g hank (each approx 430yd/387m) of Prism Arts Saki (merino wool/nylon) in spice.
  • One pair size 5 (3.75mm) needles or size to obtain gauge.
  • Stitch markers and lace blocking wires.
