“I am passionate about making up new cables and especially love the interplay of mini cables and ribs with larger twists and shapes. Since this cable is rather involved, I went with one central panel, so most of the sweater is a breeze to knit, while the complication is concentrated in the center front. The silhouette was influenced by a modern, feminine sweatshirt I recently purchased and love to wear layered over longer sleeves and a narrow skirt.”— Norah Gaughan

VK Description: With its exquisite cabling, lavish cowl and burnished orange color, Gaughan’s thoroughly modern pullover in Berroco’s ‘Ultra Alpaca’ is a true show-stopper. The short dropped sleeves and back are dotted with double seed stitch; a subtle hip dip in front is shaped by gradually casting on stitches on either side of the central cable. Once the body is complete the ribbed border is added.
