A narrow band of k1, p1 ribbing at the lower edge of the body keeps the edge from curling; a fold-under stockinette hem finishes the three-quarter sleeves. The k1, p1 ribbed border around the wide square neck is picked up and knit in the round, with mitered decreases at the corners to soften the sharp effect of the stockinette stripes.
