Six colors of Elsebeth Lavold/KFI’s Hempathy, a hemp, cotton and modal blend, alternate in stripes of various widths. The lower edge is knit first as a narrow striped stockinette strip. Stitches are picked up along one long edge of the strip to work the body. Extra- wide at the lower edge to create a draped look, the tunic decreases quickly, then more gradually to the underarm. The front has a deep scooped neckline, with trim around the neck and armholes knit in long strips (mimicking the lower edge) and then sewn on.
