CROCHET PATTERN 
This 2 in 1 pattern functions as both a balaclava and a toque. The hat portion is stitched using a simple modified single crochet stitch for an extra dense knit-like fabric. The face covering portion is ribbed for a breathable, stretchy, yet warm protection. Easily roll the face covering up to turn the balaclava into a hat.

SIZES
Unisex child/adult sizes XS-XL.
For best fit, choose the finished hat circumference within 1-2”/2.5-5cm of actual head circumference (see size chart in photos).
X-SMALL (child) Finished hat circumference 18”/46.7cm
SMALL (teen): Finished hat circumference 20”/50.8cm
MEDIUM: Finished hat circumference 22”/55.9cm
LARGE: Finished hat circumference 24”/61cm
X-LARGE: Finished hat circumference 26”/66cm

HOOK  
5.5 mm crochet hook (or hook size that achieves correct gauge), and a 4mm crochet hook (or hook size 1.5mm smaller than the hook size used to achieve correct gauge).

YARN REQUIRMENTS
Approximately 260 (300, 340, 380, 420) yards of worsted weight yarn. 

SAMPLE YARN DETAILS
The sample shown in the photos was knit using a custom-dyed 4-ply Worsted weight (approx. 185yds/100g).

GAUGE
12 stitches & 20 rows per 4” {10cm} of modified single crochet (option to substitute regular single crochet stitches). Worked in the round with no turns between rounds.
