#20 Asymmetrical Tunic
I designed this Aran sweater to celebrate the sale of my first freelance design—now thirty years ago!—which also happened to be an Aran pullover. Here, I tried to take the Aran concept in a new direction, pushing the limits of traditional shaping with asymmetry as my focus.”—Deborah Newton
Newton’s asymmetrical pullover, knit in Classic Elite Yarns’ “Ariosa,” is constructed from modular rectangles and triangles knit in an assortment of Aran mainstays—texture stitches, cables and bobbles.
