In the Winter 1992/93 issue, we published our first brioche article, written by Nancy when her obsession with the stitch was in its infancy. Since then she’s gone on to become the global expert on brioche, and her work has evolved to produce some amazing innovation and design. In this cardigan, she took advantage of the stitch structure of brioche to add bands of color into the background. The relaxed shaping is once again completely up to date. It was originally knit in Rowan’s Lightweight DK; you can replace it with Felted Tweed, also from Rowan.
