#20 Fair Isle Cardigan
Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Winter 2008/09: “With its subtle A-line shaping and zippered front, this Fair Isle cardigan makes modern the traditional Icelandic yoked sweater. Védís Jónsdóttir stitched thirteen colors of Reynolds/JCA’s ‘Lite-Lopi’ circularly, placing purl stitches astride the end-of-round marker to indicate the placement of the steek, the front opening that’s cut post-knitting to accommodate the zipper.
“Close-fitting, zippered Fair Isle cardigan, with the body worked in the round, cutting steeks down the center front.”
