I like the movie version of Peggy Carter. She started as a code breaker at Bletchley Park and was eventually moved on to MI5 and the SSR, and was one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She worked as a spy and was Captain America’s love interest.

In the comics, it gets a little weird.
