Have you heard of temperature blankets? They’re a great way to make memories and document your year in yarn! This year we’ve added a chart to stitch your blanket corresponding to the day’s weather along with the standard temperature chart. Every day for a year you will knit 1 row using the color that corresponds to the day’s high temperature or weather in your area. This fun project is beginner friendly and uses only knit stitches! We’ve selected colors, paired them with a temperature or weather type and provided the suggested yarn amounts below. Feel free to alter your colors and select more of the colors that correspond with your area’s climate.

Note that the number of balls per color you need will vary based on the temperatures in your area. Each ball of yarn will give you approximately 33 rows/days. You would need 11 balls of yarn to complete the blanket if an even amount of each color was used.
