This pattern provides instructions for two styles of children’s chequered slipover, knitted in King Cole DK yarn.

11 stitches and 18 rows to 5cm (2“) over pattern using 4mm knitting needles or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.
