Happy Birthday, Emma!

🥳 Our Beauty Queen is turning 21!!! 🥳

So I grabbed 3 colors that describe Emma-

1. Barbie Girl
2. Life Of The Party
3. Poppin’

and designed this crazy beautiful and fun shawl!!!!

This brightly colored shawl starts with a garter tab cast on, then double increases at the edge and increases along the center shape this design into an elongated triangle shawl. Knitting alternates between sections of garter matched with an easy slip-stitch pattern this design will stretch out to highlight your fun confetti speckled colorway. Combine that with a mohair yarn and it creates a light, soft and cozy piece that drapes perfectly over the shoulders is wonderful for snuggling around your neck. All simple stitches so that you can relax and enjoy your knitting!

If you have a mohair sensitivity- that’s cool, just replacing the mohair with another Super Silky colorway, drop down a needle size, and ignore the combined directions! Easy peasy!

Color Two(C2)(work with Mohair): Emma’s Yarn Super Silky (80% Superwash Merino/20% silk, 400yards/100grams)
Life Of The Party- 260 yards

Mohair (M)(work with C2): Emma’s Yarn Marvelous Mohair (72% Kid mohair/ 28% Silk, 459yards/50grams)
Poppin’ – 150 yards

Needles: US 6/4mm 32” circular needles and size 7/4.5mm or 8/5mm for bind off (three different bind off options)

Notions: Stitch Markers, T-pins and blocking wires for blocking

Gauge: 18 stitches = 4 inches in Garter Section after aggressive blocking. Although gauge is not crucial for this project, it will affect the finished size and yarn requirements. A looser gauge will result in the use of more yarn.
