Pattern description from Knit Simple, Fall 2006: “Along with horizontal stripes and vertical ribbed sleeves, this sweater’s got a bit of the diagonal in the form of a two-color slip-stitch pattern that slants to one side.”

Knit Tip: “Get into the rhythm of slip stitching and enjoy how quickly the loops fly off the needles.”

Materials:

  • Freestyle by Dale of Norway, 1¾oz/50g balls, each approx 88yd/80m (wool)
  • 9 (10, 11, 12) balls in #3172 brown (A)
  • 5 (6, 6, 7) balls in #9133 green (B)
  • One pair each sizes 9 and 10 (5.5 and 6mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
  • Size 9 (5.5mm) circular needle 16”/40cm long
  • Stitch holder
