A trifecta of solid broad stripes is punctuated by slip-stitch trios of a multicolor yarn, which also tips the armholes and button band of this V-neck cardigan vest.

• 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 100yd/91m) of Trendsetter/Lane Borgosesia Merino Otto 8-ply in #20964 charcoal (A), #200 bordeaux (B) and #26900 camel (C) (merino wool)
• One each size 5 and 6 (3.75 and 4mm) circular needles, 40”/100cm length
• One size 5 circular needle, 16”/40cm length
