The bases of these containers, each beginning with a provisional cast on, are worked in garter-stitch short rows to form a circle. The sides are picked up and worked in spiral rounds in slanted slip stitch with some worked single strand and some double.

These containers are knit using needle sizes smaller than recommended for this yarn. The exact gauge is not necessary. The pieces should be knit tightly. If you are a loose knitter, go down a needle size. If you are a tight knitter, go up a needle size from what is recommended in these instructions.
