Pattern description from Knit.1, Fall 2007: “Put a little ‘meow’ into boardroom meetings by layering this leopard-print cardigan over a conservative skirt or trousers. Julie Gaddy’s catty delight, stitched in Lion Brand Yarn’s ‘Wool-Ease,’ features intarsia spots on the bodice, ribbing at the waistband, and a deep V neck.”

Stuff:

• 3 (4, 4) skeins in #171 Gold of Wool-Ease by Lion Brand Yarn, 1¾oz/50g skeins, each approx 197yd/180m (wool/acrylic)
• 1 ball each in #153 Black, #99 Fisherman and #107 Blue Heather
• One pair each sizes 5 and 8 (3.75 and 5mm) needles or size to get the gauge
• One size 5 (3.75mm) circular needle, 29”/74cm length
• Stitch markers
• Four 3/8” / 10mm ball buttons

2. When following the chart for the leopard pattern, work with Gold and Black from the ball of yarn. For the spot centers in Fisherman or Blue Heather, work each center using a separate length of yarn to avoid carrying a third color across the back of work.
