Test piece: With No. 7 needles-5 sts=1”; 7 rows=1”, cast on 28 sts. Work cable pat as for small size for 14 rows. Piece should measure 5 1/2” wide and 2” long. If too small, try larger needles; if too large, try small needles, until correct gauge is obtained.
Cable pattern is a 4 row repeat.
