Pattern description from Knit.1, Summer 2007: “Another reason to like green tee: Vladimir Teriokhin’s ferny tunic, which leaves off just above the knees. Knit in Blue Sky Alpacas’ ‘Dyed Cotton,’ this design has a deep V neckline, cap sleeves and thick ribbed borders.”

Organic cotton: In India, cotton is planted amid pigeon-pea crops and protected by non-toxic insecticides made from garlic and chili.

Stuff:

  • 5 (6, 6, 7, 7, 8) hanks in #620 Fern of Dyed Cotton by Blue Sky Alpacas, 3½oz/100g hanks, each approx 150yd/137m (organic cotton)
  • One pair each sizes 7 and 9 (4.5 and 5.5mm) needles or size to get the gauge
