The diamond pattern on this lovely sweater is created by pooling of one 16oz skein of Prism Big Kid hand-dyed yarn.

“Self Patterning occurs when half the number of stitches needed to flash are worked back and forth. Colors then stack in the same area, every other row, except in the center, where the same color will stack for a while before it moves to the sides. Outside of the center diamond, the surrounding colors appear regularly every other row. Sizing cannot be changed more than an inch or two or the patterning will be lost.”
