Pattern description:
This pattern provides instructions for a Cardigan and Sweater, knitted in King Cole Aran yarn.

Gauge:
18 stitches and 25 rows to 10cm (4“) over stocking stitch using 5mm knitting needles or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.

Sizing Information:
To fit chest:
(1-2 years: 54cm/ 21”), (3-4 years: 56cm/ 22”), (5-6 years: 61cm/ 24”), (7-8 years: 66cm/ 26”), (9-11 years: 71cm/ 28”).

Cardigan:
Main Shade - 1 2 2 3 3 balls
Contrast Shade - 1 1 1 1 1 ball
(Size 1: 2 balls yarn), (Size 2: 3 balls yarn), (Size 3: 3 balls yarn), (Size 4: 4 balls yarn), (Size 5: 4 balls yarn).

Sweater:
Main Shade - 1 2 2 3 3 balls
Contrast Shade - 1 1 1 1 1 ball
(Size 1: 2 balls yarn), (Size 2: 3 balls yarn), (Size 3: 3 balls yarn), (Size 4: 4 balls yarn), (Size 5: 4 balls yarn).

One pair of knitting needles sizes 4mm, 4.5mm and 5mm. You will need 55 : 6 : 6 : 7 buttons for the Cardigan.
And 4 buttons for the Sweater.
