Pattern states that the metric equivalent of US 2 is 3 mm, which differs from Ravelry’s stated equivalent of 2.75 mm. Likewise, the pattern states that US 1 is equivalent to 2.5 mm, though Ravelry says 2.25 mm. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that you knit a test swatch to determine the needle size you need to arrive at the pattern gauge of 23 sts x 30 rows = 4” x 4”/10 cm x 10 cm.
