This pattern provides instructions for a children’s shawl, matinee coat, dress, hat and bootees, knitted in King Cole 4ply yarn.

28 stitches and 36 rows to 10cm (4”), over stocking stitch on 3.25mm needles. 26 stitches and 36 rows to 10cm (4”), over pattern on 3.25mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.

To fit chest:
(Premature: 31cm / 12”), (0-3 months: 36cm / 14”), (3-6 months: 41cm / 16”), (6-9 months: 46cm / 18”), (9-12 months: 51cm / 20”).
