Add a delightful twist to your style with this beret. Working six different strands from the center out in the round creates the distinctive spiral pattern. While somewhat unorthodox, the pattern is surprisingly simple and can be worked up in an afternoon. Mix and match anywhere from two to six colors to create unending variations.

Due to the construction design of this project, the pattern is not written in the usual “rounds” but in “sections” to be completed for each strand.

Materials Needed:

  • Fine/sport weight yarn in at least two different colors. 50yds for Strand 1; 30yds for Strands 2-6.
  • Crochet hook size F-5 (3.75mm), or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Removable stitch markers, waste yarn, or knitters safety pins (holders)
