The bottom border is worked in a blocked Eyelet stitch pattern that is worked from side to side in order to create the width of the shawl. This is done with Cheerleader so the soft sparkle sits on the edge. When done, the side edge of the Cheerleader border is picked up with Tiger and worked in Garter St. and Short Rows to fan shape the body and create the shawl fabric.
