7pm Tee
The 7pm Tee is a drop shoulder constructed tee knit from the bottom up. The body is knit in the round to the underarm then separated and knit flat, in front and back pieces, to the shoulders. Shoulders are seamed using the three-needle bind off. Stitches are picked up around the armholes and neckline, ribbing is worked in the round. The tee is designed to be slightly oversized in the body and fitted around the upper arm. The stranded colorwork design, included in chart form, is repeated on the front and back of the garment. A bold linear design is incorporated and placed around the armholes using intarsia (Bold Rectangular Version). Instructions are included for a more basic version, without the linear intarsia (Plain Version).
The stranded colorwork design was inspired by rivulets on a wide expanse of beach, traveling towards the sea, reflecting the final rays of light as the sun sets. The pattern names in the Sunset Collection refer to times throughout the year when the sun sets on the coast of Maine.
