Pattern is written for a dk weight and fingering weight (8ply and 4ply) held together to approximate an aran to bulky weight yarn. Using two colours this way gives a marled effect. It can also be knitted with a single strand of yarn that knits to gauge.

DROPS 4.5 mm US 7 straight and double-pointed needles, and 5.5 mm US 9 straight needles, or sizes needed to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge: 15 sts x 21 rows with 1 strand of each yarn on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.
