• Yarn: 140g of Diakeito Silk du Silk. 9 - color KK809 (Navy), 10 - color KK807 (Dark Red), or 11 - color KK807 (Brown)
• Needle: Japanese size 5 (3.6mm) - can substitute with US 4 (3.5mm) or US 5 (3.75mm)
• Hook: Japanese size 3/0 (2.3mm) - can substitute with US standard B-2 or US steel 1 (both 2.25mm)

Pattern Notes

• Vest is constructed sideways in one piece. Even though the main part of the vest is knitted, the popcorn stitch at the base of each leaf is crocheted.
• Shoulders are joined with a mattress stitch.
• Add the crocheted edging to the collar and front edges (starting at the bottom of the right-front section) and the armholes. Each sc is worked into every other knit row/stitch.
• Ties are crocheted 100 stitches long using the method in the sidebar.
