A Basket Full of Posies
This charming, young lady’s cardigan has a diagonal Basketweave border around the bottom of the sweater that carries up the center front and finishes the back neck. The Basketweave is found around the sleeve cuff as well. The cardigan closes with butterfly buttons. The butterflies are attracted to the simple daisy stitch flowers that adorn the front, back, and sleeves of this delightful garment.
The Basketweave stitch that is the theme of the Stitch Anatomy in this issue was my inspiration for this sweater. I wanted to have something that could be made by all machine knitters and hand knitters. The hand knitted version can be found on Ravelry at Malcolm Maid Designs. There are 2 versions of this pattern: one for single bed machines and the other for knitters on the PASSAP e-6000 and Duomatic.
