A Little Jewel
A Little Jewel is a quick-to-knit narrow scarf that is reversible with a touch of lace edging and a flat I-cord edge. Knit sideways end-to-end in garter stitch, it is shaped with increases and decreases. It is long enough to wrap twice around your neck. The pattern is written for a narrow scarf with options to modify it for an asymmetric scarf or a symmetric triangle scarf. Can be made as small or large as desired with any weight of yarn you wish to use with a needle size that works for that yarn. A scarf knit with 109 yards of worsted weight on size 7 (4.5 mm) needles measured 40” long x 4.5” wide (blocked to 54” long x 5” wide). The four page pattern has written instructions. This scarf is named in memory of my Aunt Jewell who passed away in February 2025.
