Poor Mr. Woodhouse; his main concern in life is his health and the health of others. Emma, Mr. Knightley, friends and family are very solicitous of his well-being, making special arrangements so that he will not be inconvenienced by a draught or an uncomfortable journey.

This muffler was designed with Mr Woodhouse in mind: it is knitted in a mesh stitch that will trap pockets of warm air, making it a light scarf that is still warm to wear. The resulting fabric is soft and fluid, allowing the muffler to mold itself to the wearer and be wrapped and tied as wished.

This scarf is worked lengthways in rows. The eyelet mesh pattern is very elastic, and muffler will stretch in length and width when blocked.

Finished Size 8” high and 60” wide (excluding fringe), blocked.

Yarn Berroco Ultra Alpaca (50% alpaca, 50% wool; 215 yd 198 m/3.5
oz 100 g): #6293 spiceberry mix, 2 skeins; #6253 Dijon, 1 skein.

Without fringe, muffler requires only 1 skein of each color.
